Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, when it felt like the world was shrinking and we were all drifting apart, a simple invitation changed everything. My friend called me up and asked if I wanted to join them in Tarifa. We worked during the day and hit the waves in the afternoon, finding comfort and joy in each other's company, nature and sports.
Yet, as things started to get back to normal, I found myself missing that sense of community and adventure. So, I decided to become a digital nomad, hopping from one place to another in search of the perfect balance between work and play.

I tried out different co-living spaces, Airbnbs, and short-term rentals, but it was tough. I struggled to find cool places in remote spots that also offered good working conditions. And building meaningful relationships with like-minded people wasn't easy either. It felt like I was always on the move, never able to settle into a healthy routine.
That's when the idea for Cometa struck me – dream homes in remote havens where you could explore, work, and have fun, all while choosing your travel companions. Because in the end, it's not just about the places you go or the things you do – it's about the people you meet along the way, the friendships you form, and the sense of belonging you find in each other's company.
It all started to come together in the summer of 2022, when I rented a villa on the shores of Djerba and invited different groups of friends to join me. As we shared new experiences and made new connections, something beautiful began to emerge – a community where adventure and connection went hand in hand, where strangers quickly became friends, and where the spirit of exploration was alive and well. And that's how Cometa was born.
